Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026

This policy describes the information we process to support RAURA, why we process it, and the choices you have. It is written for people who use RAURA to post, follow, chat, get notifications, and order food.

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to RAURA websites, apps, and related services. It explains how we collect, use, share, and store information. It does not apply to every site you might visit after leaving RAURA, even if someone shared a RAURA link there.

We process information in different ways depending on whether you are signed in, whether a post is public, and which features you use. A public post can be read without an account. A private chat cannot.

If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use RAURA. Some processing is required to run the service, such as storing the account you create and the posts you publish.

What information do we collect?

Account information. When you register we collect a name, username, email address, and password. You may also add a bio, location fields, a profile photo, and a cover photo.

Content you create. This includes posts, comments, reactions, reposts, chat messages, voice notes, attachments, food reviews, and orders. We store the media you upload so we can show it back to you and to people who are allowed to see it.

Use information. We keep records needed to operate the product, such as when a public post is viewed, device notification subscriptions you turn on, and basic request information used for security and rate limiting.

Messages. Chat is stored so both people in a conversation can read it later. Unread state is stored per conversation, not as a public notification. Device push is sent only if you turn it on.

Information from other people

Other people can share information about you when they mention you, reply to you, send you a chat, or include you in a food order note. We receive that content as part of providing the service to them and to you.

If someone shares a public post link outside RAURA, other apps may fetch a short preview. That preview is built from public information such as the post title, a short excerpt, and an image. Restricted posts do not expose their private text in those previews.

How do we use this information?

To provide RAURA. We use information to create your account, show feeds, deliver chat, send in-app notifications, process food orders, and remember settings.

To keep people safe. We use information to enforce our Terms, detect abuse, rate-limit harmful automation, and review reports. Some safety actions, including hiding content from others, may not be announced to every viewer.

To communicate with you. We may send product notices, security alerts, and optional device notifications. Chat alerts appear on the Chat icon. Other activity such as follows, replies, and reactions appears in Notifications.

To improve the product. We may look at aggregated trends, such as which public pages are visited, to decide what to build next. We do not sell your personal information.

How do we share information?

With people who can see your content. Public posts can be seen by anyone. Followers-only posts can be seen by people who follow you. Chat is visible to the people in that conversation and to staff only when the conversation is a support desk channel they are allowed to handle.

With service providers. We may use vendors to host infrastructure, send device push messages, or process payments if those features are enabled. They may process information only to provide their service to RAURA.

For legal reasons. We may share information if we believe it is required by law, to protect someone from harm, or to enforce our Terms.

We do not share your private chat with advertisers. Advertising, when offered, uses the rules in the Advertising Policy.

How do we store and protect information?

We store information on systems that require authentication for private data. Uploaded media is served through controlled routes. We use HTTPS in production so browsers can protect information in transit.

No service is perfectly secure. You can reduce risk by choosing a strong password, keeping your email up to date, and turning on device notifications so you notice unexpected activity.

If we become aware of a security incident that affects you, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include a notice in the product or by email.

How long do we keep information?

We keep account information while your account is active. Posts, comments, and media stay until you delete them or the account is removed, unless we must keep a copy for safety, legal, or accounting reasons.

Chat messages stay in the conversation so both people can read history. If you delete an account, we will delete or de-identify personal information we no longer need, subject to backups and legal holds.

Device push subscriptions are kept until you turn them off, your browser drops them, or we remove expired endpoints.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can already edit your name, username, bio, photos, and some posts in the product.

You can choose whether to receive device push notifications. Chat unread counts appear on the Chat icon even if push is off, as long as you open RAURA.

You can control cookies as described in the Cookie Policy. Some cookies are needed for sign-in and security.

Children

RAURA is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Parents or guardians who believe a child created an account should contact us so we can review the account.

How will we notify you of changes?

We will update the date at the top of this policy when we change it. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice in RAURA or by email.

The current version of this policy is the one published on this page.

How to contact RAURA with questions

If you have questions about this policy or about information we hold, contact Superadmin through in-app chat where available, or use the support contact listed in the app.

Please do not send passwords or payment details through public posts.
